Given the current economic climate, for 2012 and 2013, CBT Brighton is offering an initial 20-minute consultation for only £10, and CBT £60 at a session (able to be paid by card) for self-funding individuals who take up a series of sessions. We support very low cost CBT with our training work in conjunction with the Rock Clinic, and also have £10 assessments to meet one of our therapists and see how we may be able to help you.

Other practitioners’ current (January 2012*) published average hourly charge for CBT over the South Coast Counties is £70.
About 1/3 of counsellors in Brighton offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, whilst having only a certificate in CBT, which is commonly only 1-5 days training. Whoever you pick to see for your therapy, if you want a CBT specialist, please do ensure that they have a Diploma in CBT, which is a minimum of one year – all our therapists do….
We can offer evening and weekend slots, and charge these sessions with an additional £10 out of hours fee, but still keeping our fee low, even at weekends.
In addition to high quality sessions with Diploma qualified practitioners, our sessions with qualified therapists are fixed to always be cheaper than the published cost of CBT over the South East..

We can also offer some reduced cost sessions with qualified therapists (contact us for details), and very low-cost CBT with practitioners who are in further training in conjunction with the Rock Clinic (contact the Rock Clinic website to book for an assessment for very low cost sessions).

Although CBT it is more expensive than less qualified practitioners or different approaches, the value for money is better as the number of sessions needed is usually shorter.
